Online Drop-In Classes and Workshops
Hatha + Nidra
Online Zoom through Union Yoga + Wellness
ON PAUSE FOR THE SUMMER
The first half of this introspective class is a place to allow our breath to guide us towards discovering our own personal practice from the inside out. Expect coordinating floor-supported āsana (postures) with our slowest and most comfortable breath and unwinding the day's tension from all of our joints. This practice may include bhāvana (visualizations) and mantra (silent or aloud).
The second half of class, yoga nidrā is part-restorative and part-meditation, and has students resting in a comfortable savasana for time (20-30min) while being guided to progressively deeper levels of relaxation. A simple, guided meditation enables the mind to relax through visualizations, noting sensations and using your imagination.
Accessible to all bodies. No yoga or meditation experience is required.
Each session of this breathing series will begin with brief lecture and question period, then move to simple and accessible movement and breath practice to support each stage of the breath exploration, and finish with some discussion time.
